There is a small shop round the corner but for most things we headed to Marbella which is about a 45 mins walk or €6-12 in a taxi/Uber. I would recommend having the Uber app as there aren’t many taxis driving around near the villa.

Overall, this is a really good place for a group particularly stag/hen parties looking for somewhere to relax but also just a short drive from Marbella centre.

  A few points of concern/areas of improvement.

1) The shopping we had pre-requested, we was given 3 different costs on arrival to villa, no proof of receipt was given... read more when requested multiple times. Was told all food was ordered in through company however, we was given Lidl products. The overall cost of shopping was far more than what was spent. I still want proof of receipt of this. We have clearly been ripped off.

2) Ants in the kitchen, there are untold amount of ants which was not hygienic, given the amount of ants there is clearly a problem that needs solving. I know from reading previous reviews this isn’t the first time this has been mentioned.

3) Jason, although Jason turned out to be very kind and helpful, we was told we exclusively had the villa however, Jason (male) lives within the vicinity and had access to villa 24/7. This is not mentioned in the listing OR once in the communication in the run up of our stay. This isn’t very fair and for a group of ladies could of been very uncomfortable however as I said Jason was nice.

4) Main area of concern, the hidden small cameras around the inside of the villa including the bedrooms. We were unbelievably alarmed when tidying the villa up to check out to find hidden cameras everywhere that are small and could be seen as speakers. This is a serious security and GDPR breach. At no point again, was we made aware of these.

5. The upkeep of the villa could do some work, to give examples:

- rooftop area, cabana bed unusable due to the state of the bed, stains and no cover.

- other beds in the garden, unusable

- towels could do with refresh

- overall customer experience of special touches

Overall, we made the most out of our stay and kept positive most of the time. The villa and rooms were clean other than areas mentioned. The villa’s Spanish authentic vibe is the best part of the villa. The villa is also a very good selling point for this villa.

  Villa works well for large numbers; we stayed as a group of 15 for a hen do. Pool area is lovely and we utilised this area the most as a... read more group. The main house and insides are basic however suitable for what we needed - towels and pool towels provided. Could do with a freshen up in terms of modernizing but I have read they are planning to do this. The location is lovely, traditionally Spanish and the local people are friendly. There is a basic supermarket a short walk away which we walked to every day to collect water. Requires travel by car/Uber to destinations such as peurto banus however this is simple enough (maybe 15/20 minutes max). Old town is also a short drive away. Would suggest the use of Uber or Bolt for travel however at times we did also struggle with this. There is a beach club a walk away (opium) and also another lovely brunch spot/beach club a short drive (play padre).

Things to be aware of:
- There was a €200 deposit requested for the pool the week we arrived - we received this back but some prior warning would have been better.
- There is a house on site at the end of the garden area which appears to house a caretaker/grounds man. He was lovely and helpful when needed however we were not aware of this prior to booking.
- We arranged a bbq for the first evening which was €40pp, not too sure how cost effective this is. It was easier for us on arrival but think we could have provided our own food and drinks for a better cost. As a group we felt that the amount of food and drink was collectively not worth the €600 we had paid. We were however grateful for the hosts arranging this.
- Upon arrival, it states check in from 2pm. The cleaners were still around until 4pm as we had arrived.
- There were 2 rooms without aircon which we didn’t know until arrival. (Unfortunately we were there during a heatwave so this was a problem).
- Unsure if this was error on our part but we struggled with locking the main building of the house. The villa is walled off and there is a full locking door into the garden but just to be mindful of this (we did ask Jason the caretaker and he told us not to worry as he was around). The villa areas around the pool all had keys it was just the main building we had an issue with - ultimately we locked our valuables in the locking rooms.

Overall we had a lovely stay and it worked well for our needs. The hosts are helpful and easily contactable. Upon arrival Geoffrey was helpful in showing us around and obviously cooking for us the first evening. He also drove to a shop for some of us who were smokers to which we were again very grateful. The villa catered to our needs appropriately.

However, it’s worth knowing the photos don’t reflect the current state of the roof terrace which isn’t habitable, there’s wooden pallets with a dirty mattress on top.
The shower in the villa was not great, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen each morning and 2 of the 7 rooms are not air conditioned which we did not know until we got there.
The hosts communication before our visit was superb, swift answers to lots of questions and were quick to answer a query when we were there. They also prepared a bbq for us which was super tasty and enough for the 16 of us to enjoy a big meal, they also dressed the table etc. they did bring up a second table for all 16 of us to sit together at this point, we wish we’d had that from the start rather than just on the last day.
Lastly, we were disappointed to be told that we would be charged 200 euro for ‘over use of the pool’ because we’d sat in it rather than just popped in for a swim. We were a group of 16 people aged 30-70 and were respectful of the guidelines to shower before and after use. To be told that we had made the pool dirty was insulting. If they need to charge 200 euro to replenish the water they need to communicate this in writing, take a deposit and make it clear in the house rules booking section of air bnb. They cannot just demand the money on checkout which we did not pay.
This was a good value for money villa for a large group of people who want to enjoy time together.

The Villa itself was very clean, but a little tired in places, although the hosts are renovating.The pool was gorgeous and is the heart of the place. We had a paella made and delivered and a BBQ was arranged on our last night. The nearest local supermarket is very basic and about a 15 minute walk .Uber is the best way to get around and is about an 8 minute drive to Marbella. local taxis do not know the area so if you are using local.taxis, make sure you tell then it is Villa Tiphareth Bello Horizante, Marbella.we had a €30 trip in a local taxi which should have been €8 because driver was lost! Nothing was too much trouble for Sam and her team, all in all we had a wonderful time.

Eduardo has been an amazing point of contact before, during and after our trip. Highly trustworthy and helpful hosts. Jeison being on site is also a wonderful aspect, he is extremely helpful with all things around the villa and also drove us to the supermarket a few times. Eduardo is superb at offering advice on many aspects of your trip, and arranged all of our airport transfers for us at an excellent cost with superb vehicles.

I specifically want to say that we attended this villa after our booking had been cancelled by Airbnb. The issue between Airbnb and the host was resolved very quickly and seems to have been a minor issue. If you are not sure whether to re-instate a booking at this villa after your previous booking being cancelled, please definitely re-instate it!! This villa is amazing and you will not have a better experience of staying in Marbella!!
